New Zenodo community: Virtual Project on the History of ALD (VPHA)

In a recent VPHA status update, sharing VPHA abstracts and other materials via Zenodo.org was proposed. This suggestion received wide support.

To enable the sharing of the abstracts and later other works, a "community" has been created in https://zenodo.org. The name of the community - not surprisingly - is "Virtual Project on the History of ALD (VPHA)", link: https://zenodo.org/communities/vpha/.

I aimed to share in Zenodo.org first of the ALD thesis list related conference abstracts of summer 2019. That work did not get completed yet, for two reasons. (1) Each author has to be individually entered in the system, and we have many authors, and entering takes time. (2) Also, ORCID numbers of the authors are asked.

Requests to VPHA contributors:

  • If you have an ORCID to be entered in the system, please add it as a "comment" in the ALD-history-evolving-file next to your name. I will enter it also in Zenodo when I make the abstract submission.
  • If you do not yet have an ORCID, you can still get one and let me know (preferably via ALD-history-evolving-file). If you provide the info, say latest by the end of May, I can certainly include the info in the submission. (I think that I cannot update the info after the abstract is published via Zenodo, although I am not 100% sure.)

What I have completed already is that - with help of an expert at Aalto - I uploaded a copy of the "Suntola ALE story" I published earlier related to the VPHA. The article was published with Creative Commons licence, enabling the uploading to Zenodo. To my understanding, also open access copies of accepted manuscripts can maybe be uploaded here - to be checked still. Wouldn't it be great if the "ML story" could be here also as an open access version? Links to the "ALE story":

Community URL's provided by Zenodo.org, shared with everyone below for easiness (I think that the curation link does not open for others, currently).
